About

When we set out to develop a vodka named after the Norse goddess of the sea, the bar was set high. This dangerously seductive Viking deity knew how to throw a ravishing party—at least for those who showed up with some gold.

Rán is a wheat vodka infused with a touch of sea salt harvested from the pristine waters of the coast of San Juan Island. Beautiful, Impulsive, Insatiable, Rán was a force to reckon with. The presence of her spirit will enliven any cocktail.

We source our salt from the San Juan Island Sea Salt farm in Friday Harbor, WA. Their salt is solar evaporated and hand harvested in unheated hoop-houses. Unlike mass produced sea salt, which is 99% sodium chloride (NaCl), their salt is 80-85% NaCl with trace amounts of calcium, magnesium, potassium, etc. This high minerality packs a lot more flavor—a reminder of the sea from which it came.

Review

"While you’ll taste an echo of ocean, the vodka also carries a nice grain flavor, accented by a little vanilla and spice. Watch for it in local stores, though it’s always most fun to head to the distillery itself to sample. It’ll be a great addition to bloody marys, as well as other cocktails, but also is worth sipping solo."
